Final fantasy 8 has got to be the best FF series of them all.
I dont know why everyone thinks FF7 is the all time greatest... i mean yeah it was fantastic no questions asked, but it's overrated because it was the first 3d rpg game to come out ever.
FF8 is fantastic cause it has fantastic CG's for it's day, with a INSANE story line which is a paradox for those who didn't understand it when they beat it, and it was just so fun to replay over and over again. The bad thing about it was that it was far too easy. Leveling was ridicouls... every 1000 exp you get a level, so you can get to 99 in around an hour from killing t-rex's.

But yeah, my order of FF series from the top (best) to the bottem (worst) is:

FF7, i feel this one really emotional with Aerith's death, and the main char living a life that wasn't his own. Exceptional soundtracks, very charismatic characters even the bad guys (someone has heard about sephiroth?). Plus the CG's are really nice. Funnies minigames, hard challenge with 'Weapons' (i beat the 3 'Weapons' on disc 2 :) ). Oh well and bla, bla bla ....

Personally, I didn't find Aerith's death that emotional, probally cause i got pissed at her for always dying on me :P. IMO the most emotional part for all of final fantasy series would have to be the end of final fantasy 10 when it gets all intense and everything cause tidus is leaving.

Ok. you know what im stunned. that FF8 is voted one of the best. not that i hate it..... i actually think its the second best but i heard people say they hate it over and over.....so to hear its good from others is new to me.

BUT

FF7 no question. the Story line is one of the best ever. You really can get into the characters and they make it super easy to get attached to certain characters. sue the graphics where gay. but even though they weren't great it is all the more reason for storyline to stick out the most.

When i first heard of final Fantasy go figure i saw final Fantasy 7. So my first thought was hey? for there to be 7 doesnt there have to be 6 previous to it? Then i dismissed it sayin nah. its gotta be some just catchy name they used. Boy was i suprised to see i was wrong. lol.
