| Posting Freak ![]() iTrader: 16 / 100% | Achilles, it's a good thought. But having that feature breaks down alot of other aspects. i.e. Any registered member (can be a member of another network) can 1.) Be here to leech off of free stuff. If they see something like GV4 being announced they tell EVERYONE, and you basically get all of JSP here claiming frees and then never stopping by again. At all. that a.) Ruins the chances for the members who have been here and contributed to GV to reap the full benefit of GV4. and b.) Makes people unhappy that they put their time into a network that they don't have to. (But it is still really appreciated alot. No network can exist without it's members and I have to say GV members are some of the most superb ones I've seen.) 2.) If a member needs to be discussed for an infraction and we chose to forgive them, that's like taking their police record that was dropped and showing it to the world. it. a.)Embarrasses them b.) Makes other members think, "If GV made that persons mistake for all of the members to see. Do I want to still hang around and possibly make a mistake and then have everyone see?" While there are pro's. There are con's that far outweigh it imho. And that is why I believe the staff forums should be kept private in any website/business/fun site. The con's outweigh the pros. And any good website tells the members what they need to know. It's not like the staff forums are used as some super secret way to take GV assets and use them for ourselves. GV4 was for the members, and in west staff forums we plan times for everyone to come on to run our weekly free walk, staff members devoting their time for the benefit of the members. I firmly believe that as while being a staff member we do a great job of keeping you guys informed, and aswell as pre-staff membership that staff members kept us informed. There isn't much of a difference between what you can and can't see beleive it or not. I hope I didn't ramble too much and you now see why most of us believe staff forums should stay that, staff forums. I did not mean to sound Hostile in any of the above statements or comments. Remember: It's hard to convey emotion through text. ![]() And now to lighten the mood: ![]() ![]() Edit: I for one applaud you Achillies for actually voicing your opinion, as it IS how networks grow. ![]() Last edited by Carmen; 07-07-2009 at 04:28 AM..
