Do's and Dont's of the IRC

1. Respect other users
Remember that you want to be respected as a user, so you must give the same respect to other users. This includes new users. Remember you were new once and you made it and figured out what was going on. We have the channels #booboo and #free4all for those of you that must argue and get your feelings across. Please use those channels in that event. If you feel like you are being harassed by another user, please PM a channel op or IRCop.

2. Listen to Op's and voiced status members
The Op's (anyone with ~, @, &, or % symbol) are there to help keep the channels running smoothly. They are trusted by network staff to do their job and make the channel a friendly and fun place for you the user. Voiced users (anyone with the + symbol) are trusted users voted on by the staff because of being helpful, and contributing to the channel on a consistent basis.

3. No colors or emphasis in main channels.
Colors and emphasis are reserved for channel op's and network staff. The reason is that we use those types of enhancements to make annoucements concerning either special events for the network/website and/or issues that need to be addressed. We do not set the bots to kick on use, we allow the channel ops to take care of it in channel.

4. No outside links unless approved
Links to spam, for profit sites, porn are not allowed. Any trade or price check links must be from gamersvault.net forum. If you have a link to post and think it will be inappropriate by channel ops, please contact an op first to see if it should be posted or not.

5. Keep trades in trade channel or forum
Keep trades in the main trade channels or the trade section of the forum. Too many trades in the main channels cause unwanted and unneeded spam and is not allowed. We have set up trade channels and a trade section of the forum which can be put to good use.

6. No Dupe talks allowed in main channels.
We do not allow in depth dupe chat in the main channels. Now saying the word dupe wont get you kicked, but we dont need or want tons of discusion on it. We all know they are out there.

7. No CD-Key trading or selling.
CD-key trading or selling is not allowed. Too many times the same key is sold over and over resulting in the users that bought it unable to use it. It causes too many issues and complaints and just isn't good all around. There are places to get cd-key's and this isn't one of them.

8. No talk containing sexually graphic details and no conversations of drugs to be sustained in any channels outside #freeforall. and definitely no links or chat that involve child pornography any where including private messages. This will lead to a permanent ban from this site.
