Forum Posting Rules

DO's and DONTS of POSTING IN THE VAULT

1. No Flaming or Trolling
Treat your fellow posters with respect. Do not flame or down talk other members. Trolling is posting to a thread with no intention of adding valued content to the discussion, rather to just agitate posters into an argument. It is very similar to flaming.

2. Do not Hi-Jack Threads, Stay on topic
Please try to remain on topic and post in the correct forum. Think about what you are going to post before you do so. Be sure that what you are posting is relevant and is worth while. Off topic comments will be eliminated without warning to the poster. If you continue to post off topic comments, or spam the forum, you will receive a private message from administration immediately to cease spamming the forums with posts. Hi-Jacking threads de-rails a thread to another topic of conversation from it was originally intended for. Do your best to keep threads on topic. If you have something else you want to say, then make a new thread.

3. Post in the right forum
Always check the forum name and description before posting to make sure you are in the right place. We want to keep our site as organized and as clean as we possibly can.

4. Forum Doubloons
These can be recieved now through sales(Paypal), trades, contests and a small amount for posts. As always the no spam rule apply. If caught spamming for FD, you will be banned from it and possibly the site/network.

5. No Cd-Key Trading/Selling
With recent events that have happened (Blizz banning keys) we do not want to get anywhere near the problems that come out of Cd-Key Trading/Selling. If such topic is opened then it will be deleted and a warning will be sent.

6. Do Not Accuse Others of Scamming Unless You Have Proof.
We at GV believe innocent until proven guilty in all matters. If you feel you need to bring it to our attention there is a scammer amongst us tell us in a
PM please and not in a post. You may be mistaken and could trigger an argument of some sort.

7. No Spam
Do not make an entire thread devoted to your website. This is unnecessary. Use your signature area if you wish to promote an URL. If you run a website that has information pertaining to a specific topic, please post the actual information instead of spamming the URL to your website. If you are only here to spam links for your own personal gain, then you will be banned from the server, and your account eliminated.

8. Search Before posting
Please search the website first, before asking a question to a problem. The answer to your question may already be within another post on the site. Posting another topic with the same exact question means you might not get a reply at all, because many people or me have already answered the question...possibly multiple times. So please search the site first.

9. No repeat topics / topic cloning
Do not post the same topic in multiple forums. Post your question/topic in one forum. There is no reason to post a thread in another location on the site if you already posted it in another. Plus by posting in multiple places your probably posting one of them in a forum featuring a different topic of conversation.

10. Don't make 2 accounts
Making 1 account and then scrapping that and making a second account to have a new name is a very good way to piss off administration. You then start replying to threads you already posted with your previous account. This makes a mess. If you really need your name changed that badly, please contact administration and they can change it for you. We do have systems in place to determine if you have more than one account.

11. Concerning off-site links
At GV we do not mind people posting off-site links BUT it must be ok'ed by an admin or mod. So just give them a PM and they will PM you back telling you if it is ok or not.
