CS:S/1.6

I've been playing counterstrike since the release of steam. *It was a free way to get cs^-^*. I've play CS:S numerous time and I've found 1 thing quite annoying with it. Anyone who's played 1.6 is amazing at source with out even trying. Idk if its the continuation of Counter-strike that makes it easy, but there's something ridiculously easy about it.

nah, Source sux IMO, what really ruined it (besides those "dirty" graphics) it's the recoil in all weapons, there's almost no recoil at all!!! take an AK in Source for example, u can spray at long distance as easy as an M4 in 1.6, so there's almost no difference among weapons at all, making it so much easier to play, thus taking away some excitement of the game

CS... excitement?

I am a veteran of FPS games, and CS is not a game I would consider one of the most exciting, sometimes the matches can end dramatically, but actual gameplay for the most part is pretty vanilla, it's pretty much a blowing off steam kind of thing

haha

steam

gotta disagree with u Druepheonix, CS1.6 is unique in FPS games cuz it's teamwork focus, sure, there are other games that demand more reflexes and skills like Q3 (which is one of the greatest FPS ever) but i believe there's no other FPS game like CS1.6 with such a great style of teamwork play

yeah, and that's what makes you a 1.6 nerd

I've heard these dumb arguments about how much better a previous patch or version is over and over from the CS crowd, I've NEVER heard it so much from any other gaming community

pro gamers and serious CS gamers can play as a team on either version, and the round structure is pretty distinct, but there are other FPS games with true teamwork, and more and more with similar round based game structures

CS is nice and all, but it isn't that effing different between 1.6 and Source, and I really with people would just say "hey, it's just an updated engine of the same game, why have I been complaining so much?"

and then maybe we can all effing move on

especially because Source can only last so much longer before their new engine is developed

will we have a three way civil war then?

of course a good team can play in both versions, difference is that in Sauce u get bored because of it's lame game play, ruined by it's recoil system mostly, and also character movement, and i'm not even going to talk about their rules for matches lol, graphics aren't the greatest, though if i care about graphics, i'd have left CS1.6 long time ago, what i care in any game i play is its playability itself, the dynamics that makes every game unique in it's style
