such a loaded question. completely based on what you're doing and what the opposing team is made up of. personally, i think shamans are OP in there amazing ability to pair up with any other class and scrape pretty well (i'm including a shaman that has gear for every spec and is willing to respec). druids are slightly more versatile, since they can tank/melee dps/ranged dps/heal, but the only thing a shaman is missing out of that is tanking, which is not really necesarry. shamans also have rediculous spells like Bloodlust (increases attack speed and cast speed by 40% for 45 sec for your ENTIRE party) which can easily make or break a team. also, they have tremor totem, which removes all fear, sleep, and charm effects, rendering your precious warlock more or less unaffective. for class specificities, if you go ele, you have elemental mastery, which gives you a guarenteed crit on your next nature spell. coupled with nature's swiftness (next nature spell is instant cast) and a nice damage trinket, and you cast a chain lightning (a +dmg, instant cast, guarenteed crit chain lightning), and you already have the upper hand. Also on the resto tree is earth shield, which everyone knows is absolutely amazing. it's better than a HoT, cuz the person who has it on the, only gets healed when someone hits them, so it lasts longer than a HoT. for enhance, you get shamanistic rage, which decreases any damage taken by 20%. mix this with bloodlust, and you have a big character, who attacks 40% faster and takes 20% less damage, and you're unstoppable. you also get the gorgeous instant cast wolf, which allows you to travel around the arena just as fast as any druid, and then pop up, stormstrike, earth shock, earthbind totem, ghost wolf run away, and you just dropped them 25% without even taking a bit of dmg.

i could go on, but i'll spare you guys. basically, shamans are amazing. this is why i play one. =)

No OP class in general. It is all situational, would a hunter beat a mage's DPS in an AoE pull? No. Would a melee beat a range DPS on Leo (the way my guild does it)? No. Can a lock dot, dot, dot, fear a BM hunter for what they are considered OP for? No. Are feral druids OP in 2v2? No, but resto is. Seriously, respecc or do something different if you are pissed about some class being OP.

    QQ moar pl0x.

i believe that the warlocks have lost the OP spot, at the moment the Rogue has become the new op. i dont like rogues at all and hate gettin ganked where theres no way to stop them

Cough PvP server. Anyways, melee are getting much better in WoW just due to the much easier accessible epics (103 DPS 1h for Kara people?). And that is the only reason they are seen as OP now, doesn't bother me though because a large chunk of my damage is from my bow. Anyways, outside of world PvP name the OP class? Like I said earlier it is situational and you named one situation
