Honestly, if you allowed us to sell you FD for Paypal..... This site would, without a doubt, grow. FD worth would, without a doubt, appreciate, it would be much more valuable than FG, to be able to trade it for $, without going behind the staffs backs (I'm sure people have sold FG before; not so sure about FD though). But if we do that, the forum will be spammed a lot more, which is both a good and bad thing. The community's average IQ and morals would depreciate, but there would be a lot more of us. But of course it'll be costing the staff more of THEIR money, who knows just how much, unless you make it like 1,000fd = 1 cent, then no one would care. It would have to correspond to the price of a HR in FD and the price of the FD it would cost the user to buy that HR, if that makes sense. I have no idea if it'll be worth it.

thats what i would do!!! im already hoarding a great deal ;) but i do believe the fd for $ would give gv a leg up on both the other forums trade sites and the $ for gear sites. BUT if we do it that way, people would prolly try to under price it so they would buy from each other and not the site itself, eventually making fd worthless.

Well, that depends.If you just put currency into the system with no way of it being destroyed, then yes, fd will inflate in no time.
The first order of business would be to change the way the bank works, by adding small transaction fees/ manipulating the way interest currently works. You can create ways for members to use their fd on the site(rpg, certain forum features,proxys. etc..) thus decreasing the fd supply.

Also remember that in the long run it is the site owner who controls the total fd supply. So for example, you as a registered member are limited to buying a total of 100fd each month from the site at $ 5(which increases fd supply). However you can buy as much as you like from members using gvebay.(which doesn't)
How do you keep people from underselling the site? Simple, you create barriers such as not selling cheaper than certain % of current forum price, and charging a small commission for the service provided.( say, 100fd for $4.50 on gvebay, buyer pays 4.50, seller gets $4, forum gets $.50.)

This, however, will open a whole new Pandora's box; how to make people only use gvebay to sell their fd?
do you monitor their transaction logs?
