Hacks cheats and other things of that nature deminish the true feel to the game. Do you remember the way you felt when you first fired up Diablo2? I do i loved that feeling but i cant ever seem to find it anymore with the way things are. I remember when i thought i was a badass for getting the full sigon set and got to lvl 30. That was one of my most happiest times in D2.

Pre 1.10 = better IMO, but synergies were actually a great addition to the game despite the above.

Doubloons: 126.00 ![]() | Ah, back to advocate some of the wonders of WoW even though I am trying to kick the habit. WoW has the most keyloggers out of any game, I am sure of that. But 90% of keylogged accounts are restored so it isn't a huge deal. The main problem I see with games is that the game is made, released, has a few minor tuneups and then is left. If you haven't noticed D2 has not had a real patch in how long? GM support is a wonderful thing which is why I am kind of hurt that D3 will not be P2P. Anyways off of that, there is a key chain type thing sold for about 5$ as well for WoW that supposedly gives more security, not sure what it does. But it sounds like the same thing and if you would like to know more about it I would suggest just looking for the WoW version. Well what I actually wanted to write about was the 1 account for battlenet. This sounds strangely similar to GW and WoW to me where your cd-key is tied to your account. I will like this, if. And only if it isn't like GW which permits only a few slots to make characters with needing to purchase slots to play more. Most of those games seem like more of a money grab than paying per month and getting pretty much whatever you want. I wouldn't worry about storage space or having to mule items though if they go with the one account though. I assume they will update the inventory hugely, I haven't seen discussion about it but I'm guessing there will be a universal stash much like GW, in WoW you can mail yourself the items and in many other games you can do similar things. Entrusting your most valuable items to someone else simply because your other character doesn't have room should be a thing of the past.

In LOTRO we have something similar...the container at your personal house can be accessed by all characters on your account, or can even be made accessible to your kinmates. So yeah, P2P has its advantages. Tanith ![]() |

Sry, but that statement has no validity what so ever... Quote:
Maybe if they made finding the good items a bit easier it would discourage botters. Most people just don't want to spend hours mfing when the odds of finding the good stuff are insane, Specially things with the odds Zod rune has; 0.0000421% chance of dropping from hell Baal in a full game. | ||

I would like to see it still very difficult to obtain items but perhaps take away some of the randomness. It would be cool if cubing was a bit more... realistic. It would be cool if you could find El's easily and that is what you needed to find to get a Zod. I want to see crafting used a bit more or something of the sort.

Doubloons: 65.44 ![]() | I don't know really if the right answer is to just numb the drops down. I always found the great expanse in variety in items and item-base very refreshing. It's like no matter how rich you got the expense curve would scale exponentially high so that you'd always be at a state to work towards something, which kept the challenge going quite nicely. It did tend to leave noobs in the dust however since values shot exponentially. Those who finally got their hands on the all-mighty end-game full nats set would have no idea how miniscule an entire set could be compared to many single items. But I always hated guildwars for its weak items, where any noob could manage to pick up a max damage 11-22 or w/e sword. Max dmg equipment was so easy to find and there were only a prefix and suffix to customize and vary to. It just seemed like everyone on GW was trying to sell this endgame stuff and no one wants to buy it cuz its easy to find. Sure it might discourage botters, but isn't it much more fun in d2 where each item had 10 mods that vary so you could mix and match your equipment and cuxtomize your character to every detail? |
